A9 suitedThis is a discussion thread · 3 replies Anonymous: Should I be playing this hand from an early position? It's difficult to fold. The simple answer is no however you do need to ask yourself a few questions.: How big/small is my chip stack? Big stack, you can fold easily. How many players are there at the table? Small table, you might consider it. Heads-up, definitely. Will the blinds be eating me up soon (in tounament play)? If yes, push all-in. Are my opponents tight/loose players? Tight players, probably fold as you'll only get a call with a better hand. How do others see me at the table? If you have a tight reputation, it might be worth playing. I'm with gus here, 9 times out of 10 you should be folding in an early position. If you are going to play it, raise. I usually raise small with A9 in an early position. If I get a caller or two and an ace hits on the flop I check after the flop. If two of my suited cards come up on the flop I place a 3/4 pot sized bet and try to win the pot right there. | Have a question? People are waiting to help. Interesting stuff Related forum topics: |
