Hi, Im thinking of baccarat mostly, but card probability calcs also. If you have 8 decks and a game is half way through, so you might have say 10ace, 13 kings, 31 qheens... etc cards left. How do I begin to calculate the odds of a given hand. Do I base it on the odds of it going on to win, or the odds of drawing a particular card. For instance, in baccarat Im starting a new round, Player draws an Ace, and banker has a 6. So points = 1 - 6. Do I calculate all possibilities of say the banker drawing a card to put him ahead in the next round, and then do the same for the player.
Regards Robert

A general probability formula for baccarat and blackjack has been worked out. It holds variables such as played (seen) cards and number of decks used. You may find free resources on this subject at http://probability.infarom.ro , at blackjack section.
