When the predsident of Fifa comes out saying that footballers are being treated like modern day slaves it makes me think how can someone like this get appointed in his role. There probably isn't a premier league player earning a million quid a year and his comments are dispicable.

I understand what he was trying to say however he didn't get his message accross in good English probably because English isn't his first language.

The point he was making I agree with. If a player would like to leave a club he should have every right to do so. It is only fair on the player, the club AND the supporters. Imaging paying to see your team and you know that a particular player does not even want to perform for the team.

If Ronaldo wants to leave, let him go.

Update on the Cristiano Ronaldo situation. David Gill (CEO of Man Utd) was interviewed today and he dismissed any claims that Ronaldo will be leaving the club.
