Did anyone see the longest drive competition yesterday evening on Eurosport between Europe and USA? I didn't catch the end of the event and wondered who won? And why were the drives measured in metres? I thought golf always worked on yards!?!?!?

His cocky attitude wound up the USA to play better golf. He should have picked Monty, everyone knows that and leaking his pairings by allowing his pairings to be photographed was purely insane. Lets hope we don't see any more of the man in the golfing arena. He is not a team man.

Looks like his 2 wildcards are going to be from the follwing 4 players. Darren Clarke, Paul Casey Ian Poulter and Colin Montgomerie. I think he'll pick Darren Clarke and Ian Poulter. Would like him to pick Monty though

Injured wrist meaning he's out of the Ryder Cup and the rest of the season.

If you are thinking of having an 'early bet' on the USPGA be careful as some bookmakers have strict rules if a selection does not tkae part in the event. One UK firm are offereing very good odds on a few selections however their T's + C's state that if the selection does not take part the bet stands. If you are looking at arbing on these selections, DON'T, it's not worth the risk. [cal]7 August 2008[/cal] [cal]8 August 2008[/cal] [cal]9 August 2008[/cal] [cal]10 August 2008[/cal]

Who holds the record for the biggest winning margin in a golf Major? Does Tiger hold the record?

What is the average price for a hole in one to be hit in a major tounament? Is it worth having a bet on?

Discuss.... Luck for me, there is no way that you can aim for the hole itself. Players just try to get as close as they can to the hole and a hole in one is a freak bonus.

Anyone know what and where it is? My best mate is a single handicap golfer and a big hitter and asked me if I knew.

Made a quadruple bogey on the last at the British Open to end up out of the top 10. Was 10th place at +12. Some probably lost a lot of money on that! He was 10.0 to finish in the top 10. Ouch
