I got back from 10 days in Vegas, last Sun. I
re-invented this straegy although I already had
similar WinCraps simulations for it. I tried it out in WinCraps, and played it 3 times live. It made me $300, then $200, then -$100 on $15 dollar tables. I like it because it can get me out on many numbers, which I would otherwise only play by going "ACROSS" all
numbers after the comeout, or placing the the 6 or
8.I'm going to play this strategy sometimes but still use Doey-Don't, Pass/Don't Pass and other strategies during each session. Somebody may have already
invented this strategy, otherwise I'm calling it
"Grow Across". I've never seen other people using this strategy in a casino.
Summary
This is a fairly conservative strategy,because it
seriously limits bankroll variance and money on the table except when numbers are hitting. Here are two side-effects followed by a summary of the strategy and an example. At the end is the WinCraps autobet file content.
-1. You often lose 1 unit on a 7 when you fail to
hit an initial 6 or 8 place bet. This also happens to 6 and 8 players, but they lose more per
point because of placing both numbers and having
passline odds.

0. Much of the time, all you bet is 1 unit on thepass line only, so you win or lose with the point. Dealers may point out that you don't have odds on
the passline bet. You can also miss some good runs - so the stategy is definately unfinished.
1. You play the pass line, but don't take any oddsexcept single odds when the point is 6 or 8.

2. You place the 6 or 8 initially, if the point is4,5,9, or 10 but only if you're up units because of comeout wins on the 7 or 11. This is just used as a trigger and doesn't imply a greater chance for a
win. It effectively keeps you from placing a
number during each point.

3. You grow across all numbers when your place betshit, until all numbers are covered.

4. The simulation never presses or takes down theplace bets.
Example

1. Keep $10 (or 1 unit) on the Pass Line during thecomeout. Keep track of units up or down during the comeout.

2. If up by 1 or more units when the point isestablished: put single odds on the passline if the point is 6 or 8, otherwise place one of these for
$18. If not up by 1 or more units, do nothing -
you're done.

3. If placed and the six hits, then place the 8 or visa versa. You are now growing across the numbers using returns from current bets. IF THE 7
HAPPENS AT ANY TIME, YOU'LL NEVER LOSE MORE THAN ONE UNIT! That's easy on the emotions.

4. If placed and the 6 or 8 hits again, you placethe 9 or 5. You grow from the inside nunbers, which are theoreticaly more likely to occur. If these hit, do the same until all numbers are covered.

5. After the all the numbers are placed, a passlinebet is not required for subsequent comeouts. Just
leave the place bets up, regardless of the current point. The simulation always makes passline bets.

The following implementaion shows a fairly stable
bankroll over 3 simulated hours at 120 rolls an
hour. I prefer such stategies because they improve my chances of surviving long enough to see a good
run.

Of course, by placing the outer numbers you are accepting a considerably higher HA, compared to taking odds on outside points.

Just off the top of my head, I think you may need to review the use of "When" and "While" in the autobet language. I am going to copy the text and check it out, but not right now.
