Couple of things to add: if you're at Borgata, don't rely on the floor to fill openings at the tables. Find the tables you're listed for and personally tell the podium folks about any openings. This will get fixed, eventually. If you're at The Taj, check out the poker snack bar (elevator behind the supervisory desk) best greasy cheeseburgers and grilled-cheese-with-bacon in AC. The dealers seem to be playing Borgata, so that's the place to look for soft games at funny hours. Last I looked, the best buffet value seemed to be Showboat (alas, no poker there).

Try the hot chocolate it's super at both Taj and Trop (don't know about Borgata).

Thanks so much for all the help. It has eased my anxiety quite a bit.

I don't care where you start, you'll end up at the Taj Mahal. The reason? That is the only house with all the games all the time. Plus you get to see real sunshine instead of being housed in a basement or an attic (Borgata and Trop). Read my Taj post...the Borgata promises you a free night and then gives you a *** story when you try to redeem it. Also, the floor people in the poker room at the Borgata are rabid about collecting time.
Poker Manners include:
Do not chew gum...period.
Do NOT pick your nose, even if you think you're doing it on the sly (You're NOT!)
Do not whine when beaten, even if the beat was a huge suck out.

Do not splash the pot with your bets.
Do not bet out of turn.
Do not comment on the cards while play is in action.

Do not blame the dealer for your *** luck.
Do not eat anything messier than hard dry pretzels while playing.

Do not act like the woman with cleavage playing across from you is the first set of *** you've ever seen.
Do not tickle her ankle with your foot and tell her it's not your foot, but another appendage.
Do not keep smiling if your nickhane is "Lone Tooth" or "Brown Tooth".

BATHE AND USE DEODORANT!
If someone offers you a breath mint, take it. Chances are you need it.
DO TIP THE DEALER.

Great advice..every one of those suggestions. You might even end up at the Taj. After 2:30 am, the prostitutes are sitting near the poker room. For some reason, poker players rteally need that "oil change" after a tough night at the 20/40 HE.
Borgata has best drinks and food. The waitresses are really nice looking and efficient. How about the blond with the tattoo on her left thigh. I'd love to get a better look.
The Trop has the nicest players and people. Waitresses (with about 3 exceptions) really suck. Food is OK. Shitty parking in summer.

And the poker..any of those 3 are OK

Yea, but you can't hide your ISP; can you?

I was in AC last weekend. It was my 2nd time in a casino - 1st time was Sahara in LV. I played 10 straight hours at a 2/4 table at the Taj. Game moves quikly, but there are obviously people there playing with little to no experience. I was nervous the 1st 10 hands and then it was cake! Have fun!
