NAN IN CLINK
1
2
I see our Chinese madman has been in jail in Krautland for a couple of months and now with no passport, police have snaffled it, and living as a destitute monk. This happened after climbing out of one five star hotel window too many no doubt and leaving lots of his DNA on soiled sheets with his nightly activities. An average of 3 day stays means lots of bills to pay later hence the passport delay until whatever. RUN Nan! All they, the police, had to do was go around the gay bars nearby and hey presto, cuffs on the man from Hunan Mind you I was in Amsterdam at the time Nan was in touch here on his let out and with spare Euros in my suitcase and could have hopped over to Cologne to give aid and would have done so but now I am taking delivery of a brand spanking new Jagwar instead!. In the next few days, my eleventh new car to date WOW. Happy Harry. - complaints: (Email Removed)

New UK 'Thunderball' draw
New UK Thunderball draw. 34-number Thunderball draw now increased to *39* numbers.. [link] Camelot sales director Duncan Malyon spoke of the 'potential' for retailers that the new-look game will bring. (but Mr.Malyon conveniently failed to mention that (in these hard times of recession) yet more people than will be spending even more* money that they simply *cannot* afford. He also failed to mention that the 'potential' has arisen for greedy Camelot Directors to 'print' yet even *more money!) "It's winning news for all of our retailers," he said. "Thunderball has mass appeal and a loyal player base, so more chances for players to win means bigger sales for them. (but conveniently failed to mention that the 'winning news' is winning news for the Camelot Directors - nobody else!) "To make the most of this golden opportunity, all our retail partners need to do to boost their sales - and their own commission - is to take full advantage of all en of the free point-of-sale material we are providing, and talk to their customers about the amazing chance to win half a million pounds three times a week." (but conveniently failed to mention that the 'golden opportunity' belongs to Camelot - nobody else!) Introducing yet more money-grabbing lottery draws is nothing more than pure greed, is an abomination and should be stopped by the new incoming UK Government. If (as predicted) the UK election results in a 'hung' Parliament' then perhaps their first job of the new 'hung' Parliament would be to 'hang' a greedy Camelot Director (or two) by the bollocks, from the highest point in members gallery of the UK House of Commons.

THIS IS IT, LOTTERY WON.
THIS IS IT.. The basis of the greatest lottery system ever; Position 1, use numbers between 1 to 8 09 or 10 say Pposition 2, use numbers around 9 or 10 to 19 say. Position 3, use numbers around 20 or 21 to 32. Positions 4, 5, and 6, use numbers 33 to 49. Gives the best "edge" ever Founded in 2000 and now it has paid off for me here it is free For proof look at draw 469 onward the high numbers were drawn around 25 draws running and I had to wait 'til recently to profit! Is "Lee Frank" an alias or is he the Real McCoy? Whatever He seems determined to teach what is already known and has been known for years. Nothing to see here.

To save me re-inventing the wheel, does anyone have any code or pseudo-code to loop round the ~14M combos of a 6/49 lottery including restarts, which they're prepared to publish? Evil Nigel

The Game of Sports Betting
We all love taking chances. If there is one thing in the world that we like most, it is that sweet feeling of anticipation for a chance at luck. Take sports betting for example. It used to be that you go over somewhere like a sports bar to watch an exciting game with your friends or simply watch the game in the comfort of your home on a Saturday night. You pick a side, cross your fingers and hope for your team or your player to win. Once your chosen team wins, nothing can stop your glee. This is well and good, until you realize that this feeling can be doubled or even tripled if you place a bet against another person, a friend or an acquaintance perhaps. You can bet against those you do not know and stand to win more money. Sports betting have been around for ages. You simply go to the Sportsbooks in the United States or the Bookmakers in the United Kingdom and place your bets there. You can bet on different sports like tennis, football, basketball, baseball, football and soccer. Sports betting have picked up so much popularity that there are now different types of betting for you to choose from. The Types of Sports Betting; the first step to betting is to know the odds that are offered against the team you choose. Be sure to analyze the wide range of odds placed first before putting down your bet. The most clear-cut and most frequent form is called the straight or single bet. You simply bet on the winner against an offered odd. You can also opt to play through a point spread bet. In this type, a winning team and an underdog team is chosen and a specific point is given for you to bet on. You can either choose the underdog team or the winning team to place your bet down. If you placed a bet on the winning team, their score must be higher than the point given for you to win. If they do not, you lose. The same rule applies when betting for the underdog team. Their score must be lower than the point given for you to win some cash. The buy point system, another type, is a modified point spread betting. You simply pay for the point to either be raised or brought down for you to win. Another type is the over or under betting. A total point will be set by the odds maker and you simply bet if your point is over or under it from the combination of all the points of the winning and the losing team. There are still other types of sports betting around, you just have to know what suits you best. Just keep in mind that you might not always win and be prepared when that happens. Now winning not only goes to your favored team or player, but to you as well. Bet On Sports With My Sure-Money System And Win 97% Of Your Bets: [link]/

Which is the most random lottery combination...
Okay, I know the question is a gotcha, because all combinations are a priori equally likely. But some combos intuitively look 'unrandom' to the naked eye eg 1,2,3,4,5,6. I've been doing some kicking around of ideas and come up with criteria. If I get time I'll whack them inside a big loop and test every 6/49 combo. As a teaser, 44,45,46,47,48,49 is rated considerably more random than 1,2,3,4,5,6 but less random than 1,2,3,4,5,46. Has anyone else done any pondering along these lines? What criteria did you use and which combo or combos evaluated as the most random? Evil Nigel

(UK) John Smith
I've known several John Smiths in my time and whenever I see or hear the name 'John Smith' it catches my attention in case it's one of the ones I know. I've also been to the village of Wooburn Green, in Bucks - it's just outside High Wycombe (of wet weekend in Wycombe 'fame'). So some time ago when the lottery machines and balls were chosen at random by John Smith of Wooburn Green it stuck in my memory. Last week, the machines and ballsets were chosen again by John Smith of Wooburn Green. My theory is that the people who randomly pick machines and ballsets are in fact Camelot employees, and there are now so few of them they're having to go round a second time. Evil Nigel

Delta Airlines Crashes On Planet GaGa
Generate each of the ~14M combos of a 6/49 lottery in turn. Calculate the deltas between each number. Sort the deltas into ascending order. Keep a count of how many times each such delta 'set' is found. Fun bit of programming, I thought. Shouldn't take more than a few hours to execute, I thought. Latest extrapolation puts it at just over 8 days to run to completion, but as my 'database' expands that is bound to grow. Does anyone know (or know how to calculate) what the 'mode' delta 'set' is? Is it as trivial as 1-1-1-1-1? Evil Nigel
