Olympic Sports that require a judge

I find it extremely difficult to trust the outcome of these events because it is personal opinion that is marking them. I find that judges marks are too far apart ususally to lack consistency.

Hmmm not sure if I fully agree here.

So you are saying that swimming, ice skating, gymnastics and similar sports lack consistency in their marking? I suppose there will always be a certain amount of discrepancy in their marking but they are generally well-marked.

I see Helen's point and I think it is a very valid one too. It's all a matter of opinion really. What annoys me is judging in diving events. The judges have only a few seconds to score marks over an event that takes no more than a couple of seconds. They don't even have the chance to look at video replays of the dive as far as I am aware.
