OT - Where did Kerry blow it?This is a discussion thread · 75 replies duck tape duck tape: Well, the post-Convention poll numbers are out, and as everyone knows by now, Kerry got no bounce whatsoever. None. Dead heat. And as anyone who has a clue knows, a 15% gain is standard. Bottom line is, with these pathetic numbers at this point, the election is basically over. Kerry will lose by 10% to 15%. Just curious. Where do you think Kerry blew it? I've heard a couple theories. Having the Clintons prominently displayed in the Convention. Was it a case of America assessing whether it really want another four years of a morally-bankrupt scumbag "leading" the country? On the same week as the Convention, Kerry's loud-mouthed, spoiled, wife telling everyone who opposes her view to "shove it", and Hillary proclaiming in an interview in reference to the subject, "you go get her Girl". Was it a case of America wondering whether it really wanted another First Lady to validate the French's, or for that matter the world's, view of American Women's femininity? Just the overall flake-iness of the guy finally sinking in? Never kept the same position on any major issue over any five years, the revelations that he "re-enacted" (i.e. fabricated) the bulk of his military film footage, loves/hates America depending on which film clip you happen to have in the VCR at the time, etc, etc. Could it be as simple as the fact that he spends $300 on a haircut? How many heterosexual males do Americans know that spend $300 on a haircut? Whats your take?

Because both sides are already fully committed. That includes independents, they have seen Fahrenheit 9/11 and read the good books. At present "they' are also expecting little or no bounce from the Bush-league convention. eleaticus

How many heterosexual males do Americans know that spend $300 on a haircut? Whats your take?[/nq]My take is that you are counting your chickens a little too soon. Wishful thinking I guess, Kerry is still comfortably ahead in most polls and the republican convention will not get much "bounce" either. I predict that although the election will be close Bush will be out this January. If he is elected (for the first time) it will be the beginning of the end for the USA, as the greatest country on earth.

I've only seen one that had Kerry ahead by more than the margin of error. [nq:1]I predict that although the election will be close Bush will be out this January. OrangeSFO: [nq:1]Kerry's loud-mouthed, spoiled, wife telling everyone who opposes her view to "shove it"[/nq]Everyone WHO, specifically? If by "everyone" you mean one yammering employee of John Melon Scaife, the billionaire Republican who has personally funded numerous Clinton bashing "investigations" including 40 fanning allegations of murder, then yes, she told "everyone" to shove it. JonM31: LOL!The democratic spin doctors wanted to cover there ass if there was no bounce. They knew that 15% was normal against an incumbent but thought " oh crap what if there isnt a bounce, That will embarass us bigtme!" So Terry McAuliff (the devil himself) Announced 2 days before the Convention that they didnt expect abounce. LOL! What do you mean independants already have there mind made up?!?! Dude your smoking that medicinal pot? Might as well just pack it up then cause President Bush is up 2 points n the polls. This one doesn't show Kerry ahead by more than the margin of error.
