RE: PokerStars!!! Corrupt? page 2This is a discussion thread · 20 replies mb: [nq:1]just call me the new RIVERLOSER on Pokerstars because i get bounced out of more SNGs on the river than ... hands (losses to club flushes): holding trip 5s- lost to 3s 5s when a spade fell on the river. 3.[/nq]^ next hand Q Q all-in- lost to 3s 6s when a spade fell on the river for[nq:1]a flush. 4. top pair Ace/top kicker King- lost to A 10, guy hit a 7 to Jack straight on ... these are just some of them. it definitely has me wondering why i'm losing so many hands on the river.[/nq] If you just looking at the hands where you were busted out of a tourney then your sample is biased. A good player will usually be busted out on a good hand. But this same (or similar) good hand has probably won a few confrontations before being busted. Gary Carson: [nq:2]I have documented over 200 all in bets at PokerStars.[/nq]Okay [nq:1]I have lost 48% of[/nq] [nq:2]my all in bets when I was better than a 2-1 favorite[/nq] For that to have any meaning you'd have to tell us how many of your allin bets you were better than a 2-1 favorite. The total number of allin bets is irrelavant here. Because you didn't seem to realize this on your own, I wouldn't put a lot of trust into any of your analysis, including your data collection. Lasher: I got all nervous after reading your post.I checked my ALL-IN bets. I have won 52% of them. Most of the time I go all in a 2-1 or 3-1 underdog. My favorite hand is J6s or 7/10s. I hope that helps.

Lucas Ford: [nq:1]just call me the new RIVERLOSER on Pokerstars because i get bounced out of more SNGs on the river than anybody i know (with the best hand).[/nq]You're getting bounced out of tourneys on the river with the best hand? I just hate when that happens.

duh: Uhh..here's how it works..if you don't win the money, you don't have the best hand. The very best hand we call it "the nuts"..and you can't lose on the river with it. Now, the nuts can change throughout a hand, so if you're all in with a hand before the flop with the "nuts" and you lose later in the hand, the actual lesson is "don't go all in so much". You're like those guys who whine about getting their AK cracked by a pair of fours after they've gone all in before the flop..duh. The deal is that the odd's aren't a guranteed affair. AA getting cracked by a pair of said fours with their friends the pair of treys happens all the time, and always will..remember, two pair beat a pair, even if they're AA. If your natural response to this post is to tell me to F K off, just remind me where you play, and your handle..just so I can drop by and say "HI"

Jim Williams: [nq:1]I have documented over 200 all in bets at PokerStars. I have lost 48% of my all in bets when I was better than a 2-1 favorite and in many instances[/nq]The odds you quote are long term. 200 instances if not really very long term. Keep on recording and let us know when it gets to several thousand.

AA getting cracked by a pair of said fours[/nq]"Funny you should mention that" (to paraphrase Jimmy Buffet) I had AsAd all-in vs 4c4d with a board of AcJc3c4h7c. I was thinking, as the hand was unfolding, that if I held the pocket 4's the software is really teasing me (until the river). A four-flush on the flop, an additional out on the turn, them ... hpestes receiving mail via hot mail dot com
