The best way to find a job in the Igaming industry in Malta

This is a discussion thread · 5 replies
Hello folks,

my name is Fabrice, a 26 years old French man currently living in Malta.

I arrived 2 weeks ago on the island and I am looking for a job in the Igaming industry.
I have seen a few job posts and I applied to them. I am still waiting for answers.

As a native French speaker, I would like to work in a customer service.

My question is : In your opinion, what is the best way to find these kind of jobs?
Should I keep sending some more cv by email? Should I rather go to any betting companies and try to meet a manager? unsolicited applications? any other suggestions?

I've been waiting now for 2 weeks and I start to be a bit worried about it (just a bit, no worries Emotion: wink )

Anyway, if somebody could help me, it's would be great.

Looking forward to hear from you,

Fabrice
The simplest method would be to register with the recruitment firms specialising in the gaming industry. Try BettingJobs.com and Pentasia.com for starters.

It would not hurt to make direct contact with any firms you'd like to work with and certainly a well presented CV and covering letter will get you further than an email.

Best of luck.
Thank you very much for this quick answer!

I've already applied to a few jobs with BettingJobs and I'll have a look to Pentasia..
Of course, I always attached my cv in my emails and I try to explain my situation the best I can.

I guess, I have to be a bit more patient with BettingJobs... and I'll make direct contact if it doesn't work.

Thank you again Expat.iain.
Go direct if poss.
Go tot he LGA site for a list of companies with licences in Malta

Then email them all enquiring about positions.
Be sure to change the name of the company for each email. We get loads of applications with
Dear Sir
I am very interested in a career at BetBrokesFair etc

If that doesn't work go to Black Gold on a Friday after 7pm for Betsson, Unibet, Expekt or cut out the middleman and just go straight to bar Native about 1am any night for all the gaming companies and say very loudly "I want a job in igaming and I will buy you beer"

Good luck!
You should have no problem.
"I want a job in Igaming and I'll buy you beer!" just have to work Emotion: smile

All right, thank you Andy for the advices and the list, it will be very usefull.

I bet you one beer that you are quicker in a job if you go with a recruitment agency. And I am talking about a recruitment agency, not a CV mail service. It is our expertise that brings you to the job that matches your skills with the employers requirements. After all we know what the emplyoers are looking for. You only know what is written in the advertisement. We would not send your CV to all open positions in Malta that require a french speaker. We will only send you CV to the employer that has the closest match.
