I never understood the reason behind the UIGEA. As far as I know, the law was passed banning payment processing companies from allowing transactions to and from igaming companies. Why not just ban online gambling instead?
Also, as far as I know the law does not apply to horse racing? Why?
It seems like a strange law and is there any chance of it getting changed in the near future?
