I have only played Razz a few times but think its a fun game and decided it would be a good change for once. I am going to play the Razz event this weekend at Binions. anyone have any pointers on Razz or know where I can find some? Hopefully there is somewhere via the internet that has some strategy on the game. I have read a couple of books that have Razz in them, but its not much help! I was going to use the poker school online, but they dont have anything on Razz.

You too, eh? Daniel Rentzer?
I'll be at Binion's on Friday to try to play my way in via the single-table satellites ($215 per attempt). I will not play on Saturday if I go 0 for 3 yet again on Friday.
I have a grand total of 8 days of experience playing Razz tournaments on PlanetPoker.com, making the money 3 times out of 4 (my record on PlanetPoker.com can be verified with PlanetPoker.com manager Roy Cooke, who has access to my playing record and my hand history).

There are 3 books on Razz out there. Needless to say, anybody who is somebody in the sport of tournament poker has read all 3 of them at least twice.
One advice to you: avoid me like the plague if you want to win your satellite table.
I will be wearing a navy blue PlanetPoker.com polo shirt.

Here is a pointer, put the $1500 in the bank and stay home. If you prefer to gamble, throw the $1500 out of your car window while driving on the interstate and hope it finds its way to your porch before you get home.

Does planet poker have Razz live action table? For free practice?

Yes, but NO ONE plays the free Razz table or the Razz cash game table at PlanetPoker.com. I do mean NO ONE.
About 20 players play the PlanetPoker.com Razz tournaments, which are held
3 times a week. The next one will be on Friday night at 9:30pm Pacifictime. $10 buy-in.
If you really need practice, play simulated tournaments by yourself by dealing 8 hands with you in seat one. I did that one night using the WSOP Razz/Stud/Stud8 satellite structure.
You should definitely railbird at Binion's on Friday night to watch the Razz satellites to do your pre-tournament scouting.

Razz, much like limit Omaha/8, is an "autopilot" game about 80% of the time.
The same situations come up over and over again.
That's why someone who has played other forms of tournament poker can be ready to contend for the WSOP Razz "world championship" in only few days.

Daniel, he beat me to it. Watch Razz play. I don't know if he'd be playing it right now but Ted Forrest is considered one of, if not, the best Razz player out there.
