ZeroRake.com Questions? I am here to answer them the best I can. This is a discussion thread · 54 replies ZeroRake.com Cardroom Manager: Let me start by saying we are very excited about launching the first and ONLY subscription based poker room where members pay zero rake. ZeroRake.com will change the face of online poker. We will succeed because people like the ones who post here are talking about us constantly. Some comments are positive and some are negative. We encourage forums where everyone may openly express their opinions, making this site truly the players voice. I want to clear the air about several things: 1. We are breaking ground as the first subscription site, because we arepoker players who have had enough of paying the house as we go and we wanted to improve the poker experience for all players. 2. We are also veterans of the gaming industry and have sufficientfinancing to incur the initial losses of operating a site as we build up the membership. We are working hard to provide the best online poker experience for all players. 3. We are NOT affiliated in any way with RakeFree.com or its founder,Dutch Boyd. 4. To the best of my knowledge, the ONLY poster from ZeroRake.com on thissite has been myself using the name, Zero Rake is Good Rake 2. I wanted to start some discussion about the subscription model, as it benefits EVERY player. 5. Some posters have expressed colorful opinions. Those are not theopinions of anyone at, or at the behest of, ZeroRake.com. Some posters are players at our site, and we are happy that they are so emphatic about their belief in us. I hope that we can all find pleasant ways to express our beliefs on this board. 6. Our business model is simple. Think of it as a for profit club. The fees pay the overhead, salaries, and marketing expenses. Success is based on memberships growing over time such that the membership fees actually result in a profit. The analogy is a physical club room where members pay dues and can use the facilities. The difference is, we are for profit, so once we have added enough members, we will make money too. Everyone wins! 7. Lastly, we are a site for the members. Keep watching for new memberbenefits over time. It is an exciting time for us, and we hope for you as well. Nothing in life is certain, not every great idea succeeds but I am absolutely confident this one will. Whenever something just makes sense it has a strong chance of taking root and flourishing. I am here to answer any questions you might have about ZeroRake.com. I will also forward suggestions for improvement on to the product team. We are committed to making ZeroRake.com a site that is fair, secure and totally devoted to its players. This is my promise. P.G.: What is your connection with LVFH?They seem to jump from one ill concieved idea to another and then close up or change site names every year or 2. Im no dutch boyd fan, but clearly this has been his idea. Dutch Boyd's idea and LVFH's track record seems like a match made in hell. Posted using RecPoker.com - http://www.recpoker.com

ZeroRake.com Cardroom Manager: LVFH is a software supply for several poker rooms. Tiger Gaming, Real Time Gaming Casinos and Jim Fiest Sportsbook all have deals with LVFH.A no rake poker site is a logical progression in the stiff competition found in online poker community. Just as online stockbrokers now provide users with faster, cheaper and more accurate trading methods so shale the online poker industry. We are just moving the bar first. In 6 months we will look back on this time and realize that it was the time our industry changed. Competition is always good for the consumer. You will all get to reap the benefits of us pushing the industry to a leaner more efficient model. At one time there were only 6 TV stations, 3 car makers, and no internet. Times will change - we all benefit. Mark Sherwood [nq:1]What is your connection with LVFH? They seem to jump from one ill concieved idea to another and then close ... clearly this has been his idea. Janne Raevaara: It might be that you don't want suggestions, just questions... But I'll rant anyway I (and many others) think that your main problem in attracting players is, that no rake doesn't appeal to recreational players, who usually don't understand rakes significance. And good players come only after recreational players. As your business idea is to run "discount poker site", couldn't you create some alternative way of getting the discount, instead or rake? You could run PokerStars style FPP store for those who choose to pay the rake, and with your discount philosophy you could mail out many times as much crap as PokerStars for same play. That would appeal to recreational players! Of course, there are some logistical problems in calculating points as some pots are raked and some arent, but that's just details. Just my 2 cents.
