I was at a table today where a player ran the clock down every hand pre-flop before folding. What is the point in doing this?

pokerpro and to clarify... when I say slow play I am not referring to the 'slow play' tactic when you try and draw a player in, I actually mean the English definition of the term playing slowly!

chipaholic Seriously, when have you ever seen a live player taking a long time every hand to fold their hole cards. Fair enough, there are hands that players might want to take their time to think about... but every hand???
These players should be warned ...

Anonymous Chances are that the player is playing multiple tables, sometimes up to 10 or 15 at once, and they are probably taking such a long time to fold because they are playing too many tables and it's too hard for them to keep up with it.
